Mark Chaplin Takes "His Turn.""Scratching the Surface" on Digital Discs
"On the commercial side, there is one machine available to the large chains and distributors of digital discs. This machine will repair up to 100 discs per hour, using full automation capabilities. This machine is designed for continuous-duty, with minimal labor. One operator can operate 2 machines at once, and each machine is capable of repairing over 500,000 discs per year. These machines are in operation with many significant corporate customers in Europe and North America and are the preferred choice for high-volume commercial disc repair. If you are involved in distribution or resale of used games and video, this machine is definitely worth your consideration."

GameDr AutoMax Review
19:57 16 August 2005 by Sallie Anglin
Does this doctor have the cure?
`The GameDr is best used with caution. Do not use this product on rare games either, because the stripping of the protective layer and the spiral pattern it creates is bound to reduce the value of any collectibles...Ultimately, GameDr should not be your first choice product for disc repair, but rather a last resort.'

So, in summary, be careful, and research your options, before you spend any money, if you need to maintain and preserve the quality of your DVD movie collections and CD music collections.

The following is a summary of product review articles, of Discstation's product range from respected gadget magazines from around the world:

D_Skin (d_skin)
Featured review by Jeff Maginniss, contributing editor from PC Gameworld
`When I brought my d_skin tin home, I tried a DVD, a Playstation game, a music CD, and a PC Game CD. The DVD read and played fine; no pixilation, no skipping, and no audio degradation. The music CD played without a hitch in both my top loading CD player and my side-loading car CD player perfectly. My Playstation game was playing, and my PC game installed effortlessly. Case in point, this product is for every gamer out there.'

D-Skin protective disc covers: Every library in the country should get a supply of these for their DVD collections, which are, invariably, the most scratched up set of media in existance.

`Disc-go-Tech has two products which we think will be of interest to you all. They are called the Pod and the Pod Plus. The two devices will repair disc scratches in less then 5 minutes and serious disc scratches in 10 to 15 minutes. The Pod and the Pod Plus, in a way, grind down the CD until the scratch is buffed out.'

Disc-Go-Cube

`Systems like these save companies a ton of money in the long run. Instead of tossing out ruined discs and buying new ones they can just repair the old ones. I’m sure they have some system implemented but I doubt it’s as good as this. There are a lot of companies out there that sell disc repair products, but none have the same results nor do they offer the same ease of use. I am extremely impressed with this device.'

Review: Disc-Go-Pod Plus -
Page 1Posted by Michael on 27 June 2005 Rating: 4.74
`Who should get a Disc-Go-Pod Plus? Anyone with a large CD collection. I have repaired over 50 of my own CDs (not counting the ones I purposely damaged just to see if the product worked). Some were video games and collectors’ edition DVDs. The unit will basically pay for itself.'

Disc-Go-Tech Has Cure for Scratched CDs/DVDs?
-- July 18, 2005
`Repairing scratched discs 50 times rather than constantly replacing them will make the machine pay for itself very quickly. Any library that lends discs would benefit from owning one of these units.'

We are now open in SOUTH AFRICA!

Save TIME&MONEY by using the correct cleaning gear for your DVDs!

Cleaning DVDs with disposable wipes, kitchen cloths, or tissues is like trying to operate your business with a cash draw instead of an electronic till. They do the job, but it is far from ideal!
If you have good quality micro-fiber cloths and optical spray on hand, your time spent on DVD disc cleaning will be reduced considerably.
(or your staff’s time!)

Discstation DVD optical spray has a fine silicon additive that does not streak or smear. The silicon additive allows you to vigorously polish discs to a mirror finish, without the risk of re-scratching the very disc you are polishing.
Discstation micro-fiber cloths are extremely absorbent, lint-free, and very soft. You can polish hundreds of discs without the risk of further marking or scratching them. The cloths are also machine washable and very durable.

At our wholesale disc repair centre in Melbourne, we clean thousands of discs every month (after they have been repaired). We have trialed pretty much every micro-fiber cloth available to achieve the best DVD polishing results. We also had to invent our own DVD optical spray, as nothing available suited our requirements.
We are so happy with the results that these products achieve, that we are now offering them for sale to independent video stores throughout NSW, SA, WA, TAS, and NT.

************** September Special ************
2litre optical spray should last at least 6 months. Order this bulk pack, we will add two 125ml spray bottles for FREE. Just fill them up and get polishing, to achieve a mirror finish result on every DVD.
